Our History

Kennedy Insurance Group (KIG) was founded with one goal: to provide individuals and businesses with reliable, affordable insurance and a personalized experience. After gaining years of experience at both local agencies in Lee County and one of the nation’s largest Fortune 500 insurance brokerages, founder Arden Kennedy saw the need for a more client-focused approach.

In 2018, he launched KIG to bring a fresh perspective to the insurance industry—one where education, transparency, and personal connection take priority. Since then, we’ve expanded our services and built a dedicated team committed to serving clients with honesty and care.

In 2022, Hurricane Ian devastated our office, resulting in a total loss of computers, hard drives, furniture, and communication systems. Without power or internet for days, we were unable to assist our clients during one of their greatest times of need.

This experience, combined with the increasing challenges of Florida’s insurance market, inspired us to rethink how we serve our clients. In 2023, we relocated to a more centralized location, giving us the flexibility to operate nationally and remain accessible to those in disaster-prone regions.

Since then, we’ve expanded into New York, Texas, Colorado, South Carolina, Virginia, and New Jersey—and we’re just getting started. Our goal is to continue growing and extending our services to clients across the country.
